ABOUT THE EVENT:

“Love is Respect”. At the National University of Singapore Students’ Union (NUSSU) Rag and Flag Day this year, PAVE connected with over 500 NUS students and members of the public to raise awareness about respect in relationships and dating violence. Our exhibition featured educational posters and digital content on traits of unhealthy relationships. Using case vignettes, we met with groups of students to discuss early signs of an abusive relationship and explored ways that they can seek support for themselves and peers. During our interactions, participants expressed how the scenarios resonated with real life experiences faced by themselves and their friends, while an enthusiastic few even came forward expressing a desire to volunteer with us. PAVE is grateful for the support of the NUSSU’s partnership with Community Chest and NUS Residential College 4 for raising funds for us.
